Pulwama Police arrested 02 drug peddlers/Recovered Psychotropic substances from their possession Pulwama Dec 11*: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Pulwama Police arrested 02 drug peddler and recovered psychotropic substances from their possession.A police party of Police Station Litter during Naka checking near Arihal Crossing intercepted two suspicious persons who were roaming in the area. On seeing the police party, the duo tried to flee from the spot but were tactfully apprehended .During search, brown-sugar like substance weighing around 82 grams was recovered from their possession. Both the accused have been arrested and were latter identified as Nisar Ahmad Rather S/O Gulzar Ahmad Rather R/O Kanjipora Lajoora and Fayaz Ahmad Bhat S/O Ghulam Qadir Bhat R/O Malangpora Pulwama. To this effect a Case FIR No. 93/2024 u/s 8/22 of NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Litter and investigation is set into motion.Pulwama Police remains committed to eradicate drug abuse and trafficking in the region. General public is requested to come forward in fight against the drug menace and feel free to contact nearest police station or PCR Pulwama if any drug peddling gets noticed in their area.
