Lok Adalat at Shopian,181 cases settled amicably District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Shopian 
today organized a National Lok Adalat at District Court Complex Shopian.Chairman DLSA (Principal District and Sessions Judge) Shopian Mehmood Ahmad Chowdhary in presence of other Judicial officers & Advocates of District Court Shopian inaugurated 4th National Lok Adalat at District Court Shopian.For the said National Lok Adalat, 03 Benches were constituted by the DLSA. In the Said National Lok Adalat, besides Advocates, litigants and other prominent citizens also participated.

The second bench was presided over by Sheikh Gowhar Hussain (Chief Judicial Magistrate) Shopian and Ld. Addl. Spl. Mobile Magistrate, Shopian Rameen Rashid Khan as bench member. The third bench was presided over by Anjum Bashir Tehsildar Shopian and Adv. Parvaiz Ahmad Malik as bench member. Total no of 295 Cases related to recovery suits, Traffic Challan’s, Civil Cases, MACT Cases, Matrimonial Cases, Criminal Compoundable cases and other civil cases were taken up, out of which 181 Cases were settled amicably in the today’s National Lok Adalat with a settlement amount Rs. 6119032/=
