Teachers Forum Delegation Meets Advisor, Cabinet Ministers
A delegation of Jammua and Kashmir Teachers Forum, met Hon’ble advisor to Chief Minister, Cabinet minister Sakeena Masood (Itoo) and her Cabinet colleague Javaid Ahmad Dar in Srinagar. 
In the three back to back meetings all the issues confronted by the employees were discussed. In the first meeting held with Cabinet Minister Sakeena Masood (Itoo), the lady legislator was welcomed as education minister and some issues pertaining to the employees of School Education Department were highlighted.
 In the second meeting with the advisor to Hon’ble Chief Minister, many core issues were discussed. The leadership of the forum sought a review of the cases of the employees who were terminated earlier owing to varied reasons. 
In a heart winning gesture, the advisor assured the delegation that a committee will be framed to look into the cases of the terminated employees. Roll back of the controversial National Pension Scheme and implementation of Old Pension Scheme in favour of employees appointed on or after 01/01/2010 also came up for discussion. 
The advisor gave a positive response vis-à-vis the reinstatement of the defined old pension scheme. The issue of the reckoning of 5 year service period of erstwhile RRT’s and framing a comprehensive transfer policy in favour of these teachers now known by Grade II and Grade III teachers was also raised. The delegation was informed that the concerned department will look into this issue. 
The delegation pressed for the regularization of Rehbar-e-Khel Teachers, regularization of daily wagers, Service inclusion of migrant substitute teachers and filling of vacancies of all cadres in the department. Worthy advisor, Nasir Aslam Wani, assured the delegation that all the genuine issues of the employees will be addressed.  
In the last meeting of the day held with cabinet minister, Javaid Ahmad Dar, the minister was welcomed to the chair and many chronic issues were brought to his notice. The minister said that the Government will take every step for the welfare of the people.  
The delegation thanked all the dignitaries for their pro employee attitude. Led by President Mohammad Shafi Rather, the delegation included Vice President Bashir Ahmad Thokar, Chief Election Commissioner Farooq Ahmad Wani, Provincial Vice-President Zahoor Ahmad Malla & Provincial advisor Abdul Qayoom Mir.
