District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Shopian under the aegis of Legal Services Authority J&K today organized a Special Lok Adalat on MACT and Matrimonial Cases under the Chairmanship of Mehmood Ahmad Chowdhary, Chairman DLSA (Principal District & Session Judge) Shopian at District Court Complex Shopian.
For the said Lok Adalat 02 Benches were constituted by the DLSA. In the Said Lok Adalat, besides Advocates, litigants and other prominent citizens also participated.
First bench was presided over by Mehmood Ahmad Chowdhary (Principal District & Sessions Judge) Shopian and Advocate Molvi Shabir Ahmad as bench member, the second bench was presided over by Rameen Rashid Khan (Munsiff/JMIC) Shopian and Adv. Parvaiz Ahmad Malik as bench member.
Total no of 34 Cases related to Civil Cases, MACT Cases, Matrimonial Cases, were taken up, out of which 05 Cases were settled amicably in the today’s Lok Adalat with a settlement amount Rs.11,04,000/=
