Shopian police today launched an inspection drive across Imamsahib area of the District.

A team led by Dysp Imamsahib and Station house officer with drug control officials inspected many chemist shops as well as stores. Teams checked Their registers and other items pertaining to selling psychotropic drugs. They have been told to sell this medicine on genuine prescriptions, as well CCTV cameras must be installed on every chemist shop,

checked, and thus briefed to keep them always in functional mode. Besides, without prescription if anyone found selling these NRx drugs will be dealt strictly, an offical from police said. He further said that such checks and inspections would be held in the future as well.
