*Pulwama Police arrests 02 drug peddlers, Contraband substance recovered*
Pulwama August 30,KNT : Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, a police party from Police Station Pulwama established a Naka checkpoint at Arihal.
Police spokesman told in a statement, During the naka duty two persons riding on a motor Cycle Bearing Registration No. PB03AN-8375 were coming from Imam Sahib Shopian towards Pulwama, tried to flee from the spot on seeing the police party. But, they were apprehended tactfully by the police party.
During checking of both the persons apparently Heroine (20.21 grams) like substance was recovered from their possession. On preliminary questioning they disclosed their names as Bashir Ahmad Khan S/O Gull Mohammad Khan R/O Matipora Kulgam and Irshad Ahmad Khan S/O Bashir Ahmad Khan R/O Shalipora Kulgam and were found indulged in illegal trade of the contraband substance.
Consequently, a Case FIR No. 176/2024 u/s 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Pulwama and investigation set into motion.
